Rupriikki also provides real, up-to-date information about the media and information on the background of various forms of communications. The exhibition has been compiled with help from experts and professionals in the field and the items on display have been sourced from the collections of museums in Tampere as well as through donations from local communications companies and enthusiasts.

Media museo Ruprikki is located in a historical factory building called Kuusvooninkinen or Old Factory. Rupriikki works closely with the users or Art building TR1.
